These terms govern your use of the Companion+ app, published by The 4:13 Project. By signing in or using the app, you agree to them.
What Companion+ is
Companion+ is a daily Christian devotional app: a short mood check-in, an AI-generated reflection and scripture connected to what you share, and an end-of-day check-in. It is a devotional and reflection tool, not medical, psychological, or professional counselling advice. If you are in crisis or need mental health support, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services in your area.
Accounts and access
The app itself is free to download. Access to its content is tied to an active Companion+ membership, purchased separately on our website (the413project.life). Signing in (with Google, Apple, or email) only lets you access what your membership already includes — it never grants access on its own.
Membership and billing
Memberships (monthly or annual) are sold and billed entirely through our website via Shopify, not inside the app. Annual membership includes the complete 365-day eBook once your first payment completes. Pricing, billing cycles, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the terms shown at checkout on our website. To cancel or manage your membership, use the options provided there or contact us using the details below.
The Companion+ Journal (hardcover)
The physical Companion+ Journal is a separate product, sold as an optional add-on. Purchasing or not purchasing it never changes your app access, and app membership never includes it for free.
AI-generated content
Reflections, scripture selections, and suggested action steps are generated using an AI model based on what you share in your check-in. While we design the prompt to keep responses warm, relevant, and scripturally grounded, AI-generated content can occasionally be inaccurate or miss the mark. Use your own judgment, and treat it as a devotional aid rather than a definitive source of scriptural or spiritual guidance.

Acceptable use
Please don't attempt to disrupt the app or backend services, attempt to access another member's data or account, or use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Availability
We aim to keep Companion+ available and working well, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access — the app, the AI reflection feature, or any linked services may occasionally be unavailable.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
